MIBS Group, caring for our people and contributing positively to society are core values that guide our
corporate philosophy. Believing that knowledge and preparedness can truly save lives in critical moments, we had the privilege of organizing a dedicated 3-hour First-Aid Workshop on Saturday, September 12th, hosted at the facilities of
Leonteios School of Athens, for our team members and their families.
The workshop was organized in collaboration with
KIDS SAVE LIVES, a recognized humanitarian organization dedicated to educating citizens on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the proper use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
Experiential Training Across 4 Interactive Stations
To provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, the volunteers from KIDS SAVE LIVES created 4 specialized activity stations. Participants, along with their family members, were split into groups and rotated through each station, gaining hands-on knowledge in key life-saving areas:
- Incident Assessment, Emergency Communication (EKAB) & CPR: Learning how to properly evaluate a critical incident, contact emergency medical services, and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
- Defibrillator (AED) Training: Getting familiarized with the operational features and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
- Choking First Aid & Recovery Position: Mastering essential techniques for foreign body airway obstruction and practicing placing a casualty in the safe recovery position.
- VR Simulation Experience: Utilizing cutting-edge Virtual Reality technology to navigate realistic emergency scenarios in a controlled environment.
It was an inspiring event enjoyed by adults and children alike, seamlessly blending learning with teamwork and social responsibility.
Throughout the session, participants had the opportunity to interact with the trainers, ask questions, and learn more about the meaningful social mission of KIDS SAVE LIVES.
Upon completion of the workshop, all participants were awarded official certificates of attendance, celebrating their active involvement and commitment.
